About the event

The Soul of Leadership Immersion - October 2026
A new approach to leadership is being called for. Not a new leadership framework, not another model to apply, but a fundamentally different place from which leadership itself is understood, practiced, and lived.
Set in the hills of Calistoga, California, this intimate four-day gathering brings together a carefully selected group of leaders for something rare: the chance to set down what they already know and, together, begin to redefine what leadership can be.
The Premise
Leadership belongs to more people than have ever been told it does. The emphasis on position, title, and authority has left something truer largely unseen. We’re here to redefine that.
As Einstein observed, we cannot solve problems from the same level of thinking that created them. The answer to redefining leadership will not be found in more theory or more research. It will emerge from the people in the room, leading one another, witnessing one another, and collectively discovering something that cannot be taught, only experienced.
The Experience
Through Nic Askew’s pioneering, Inner View camera-based process of presence — and Lori Zukin’s immersive leadership development process — participants will be witnessed, and will witness one another, in a way that reveals the deeper source from which true leadership emerges.
This is not a summit where experts take turns presenting what they know. It is a collaborative creation — where leaders from diverse arenas arrive willing to bring everything they’ve learned, set it down, and let something new emerge together. What surfaces in the room becomes the beginning of something larger: a body of work, a movement, a redefinition in progress.
On the Camera
The camera is present throughout. It offers a rare form of attention: it asks for nothing, interrupts nothing, and allows what is arising to reveal itself without disguise.
What it captures is not a performance. It is a living record of moments in which something true became speakable — the trace left by what occurred rather than the reason for it. Nothing is produced, shared, or used beyond this group without your explicit consent.
The Rhythm of the Days
Between sessions there is time to walk, to sit, to say nothing. Time in the hills and among the vines. Relaxed meals. Unhurried evenings.
Calistoga is a place people travel to to slow down, and the land does much of the work on its own. What you set down in the room has somewhere to go.
Who This Is For
We are gathering a small cohort — approximately 10 people — who are leading in different arenas: organizations, communities, causes, families. What matters is not title or prominence, but character: the willingness to show up fully, to be seen, and to be part of something that could shift how leadership is practiced in the world.
Participation is by inquiry and invitation. If this calls to you, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Leave With
You will leave with something you cannot unsee — a new way of understanding your own leadership and the leadership of those around you. You will leave connected to a community of people committed to redefining what leadership looks like in a world that is calling for something profoundly different.
